A new term always brings fresh opportunities for learning, discovery and new friendships, and we're excited to welcome everyone back for another wonderful season at Children’s House.
This term we are delighted to welcome several new families into our Montessori community, while also celebrating those children who have recently taken the exciting step into primary school. Watching children grow in confidence and independence is one of the greatest joys of Montessori, and we wish them every success on their next adventure.
Our cultural studies this term will take children on an exciting journey to two very different parts of the world.
During the first half of the term, we'll explore the unique landscapes and wildlife of Antarctica, discovering its icy environment and the incredible animals that call it home. Later in the term, our focus will shift to Europe, where children will learn about different countries, cultures, traditions and landmarks through stories, books, maps and hands-on activities.
Our classroom shelves will also be filled with opportunities to investigate the natural world.
Children will begin the term exploring plants, botany and insects, developing curiosity about how living things grow and interact with the environment. Later, we'll move into one of our most popular topics each year—dinosaurs, reptiles and volcanoes—encouraging imagination alongside scientific exploration.

International Peace Day
These celebrations help children build an appreciation for family, culture, language and the diverse community around them.
Supporting children's wellbeing means helping them feel secure and confident in all situations. Alongside our regular emergency preparedness activities, children will participate in age-appropriate safety practice throughout the term, helping them become familiar with everyday procedures in a calm and supportive way.
We're looking forward to another term filled with meaningful work, joyful discoveries and plenty of opportunities for children to learn through exploration.
